Since the early '60s, Beard Outfitters has been providing quality service and professionalism in the outfitting industry, guiding big game hunters in the majestic Teton Mountain Range. From the border of Yellowstone National Park, south along the Grand Teton National Park boundary, to Teton Pass, with over 200 square miles in between, you experience serenity and seclusion as we trek through the woods listening for the spine-tingling call of an elusive bull elk.

From the southern border of Yellowstone National Park, and along the western boundary of Grand Teton National Park, including over 200 square miles in between, we offer quality early season rifle and archery hunts for Elk, Moose, Deer, and Bear.

If you are an avid hunter, you must be aware of the problems that some western states are having with wolves, and the significant impact they have on our big game herds. We, unfortunately, are not exempt. These impacts have forced us to make changes in our operation based on changes in herd habits and predictability of these herds (primarily elk). There can be no positive statements made regarding wolves from the standpoint of any outfitter or hunter who is educated enough to understand the potential destructive manner of their kind. We have found a new door being opened, with some of the changes offering great trophy opportunities for early season archery hunters as well as for rifle hunters during the early general season.
Other changes have meant cutting back on our average number of clients, which mean we are able to accommodate smaller party sizes in order to avoid having to intermingle groups of hunters. This means a more private camp atmosphere and avoids conflicts that can occur among strangers. We are still offering the same services as always, with the down home hospitality our family has grown up with, giving each trip the camaraderie of good friends and the assurance of a successful hunt.
In the meantime, we hope that you will educate yourselves about these wolves, educate others who are not aware of the problem, and band together in the fight for their delisting so we can all continue to enjoy, manage and protect our big game populations as an important national resource. |
